Of Wood and Steel and Stone

Railroad bridges might not have the grace and gravitas of our grand highway bridges, such as the Paddock viaduct and the Lancaster Street bridge. Simon and Garfunkel never sang about a trestle over troubled water. But these unsung heroes of our infrastructure allow trains to negotiate rivers and roads.
