A Boy and His Corporate Spokesdog

“That’s my dog, Tige. He lives in a shoe. I’m Buster Brown. Look for me in there, too.” Buster and Tige go back to 1904. Fifty-five years later Leon Cooper hung these two metal signs outside his shoe store at 5024 Trail Lake in Wedgwood. Today Leon’s son Don, at his Cooper Footcare Facility on the southwest Loop frontage road, preserves these images of Buster and Tige.

(Is it just me, or are those two a bit creepy?)
