Fossil Fort Worth

(left) Two tylostoma snails, one still in the limestone matrix, found on the Trinity River near the Edwards Ranch. (right) An echinoid (sea urchin) found a bit downstream at the Como Lake baffled outlet to the river. All from the Cretaceous period. That’s 65 to 145 million years ago, folks. Ah, those were the days. Remember? Reality TV was in its infancy.
