Ellison Furniture and Carpet Company built this building on East 5th Street to house its mattress factory. North of the four-story building is a later addition. The company’s previous factory building had burned.
On East Morphy this was the home of Harry Gibbons, a contractor’s foreman.
Bridgeman-Hesterly Apartments on Lipscomb Street. The exterior has been altered some in recent years.
On Broadus Street this was the home of Dr. Jeff Ray, a member of the seminary faculty.
On College Avenue the Wade-Rall house was once the home of Mary Smith, widow of John Peter Smith.

Sharp eye, Bryan. I think three of those were taken in winter. I have a backlog of 2,500 photos even after posting every day for almost two years, and some get pushed to the bottom of the pile. I have them sorted into about fifty categories. Of course, some fall into more than one category. The Wade-Rall and Ray houses are also in the southwestern category.
